Idaho LEGO Users Group Board of Directors
ILUG is governed by a leadership board consisting of a President, two Vice Presidents, and a Secretary. The Board is responsible for guiding the direction of the club, organizing activities and events, managing resources, and supporting the club’s mission through community engagement and STEM education programs.
Board Operations
The Board meets regularly to:
- Plan club events and activities
- Review expenses and maintain the club budget
- Establish priorities and goals for the organization
- Coordinate outreach and STEM education initiatives
The Board may also appoint or work alongside volunteer committee members who assist in organizing events, leading activities, supporting STEM programs, and coordinating outreach efforts. Committee members play an important role in helping the club serve its members and community.
Greg Fastabend
Greg is the President and founder of the Idaho LEGO Users Group
The President serves as the primary leader and representative of ILUG. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and facilitating club meetings
- Overseeing club finances and budgeting
- Coordinating community outreach efforts
- Maintaining the club event calendar
- Providing leadership and direction for club initiatives
- Supporting collaboration among board members and committees
Shawn Denowh
Shawn is a Vice President responsible for projects and events.
This Vice President oversees club projects and event coordination. Responsibilities include:
- Managing group projects and collaborative builds
- Planning and coordinating club events and exhibitions
- Assisting with logistics and scheduling for activities
- Supporting volunteer coordination for events and programs
Laura Utils
Laura is a Vice President in charge of fundraising and outreach
This Vice President focuses on securing resources and expanding community connections. Responsibilities include:
- Organizing fundraising activities and sponsorship opportunities
- Assisting with community outreach programs
- Building relationships with community partners and organizations
- Supporting club promotions and public engagement efforts
Chris Franz
Chris is the board secretary
The Secretary maintains club records and communications. Responsibilities include:
- Recording and maintaining meeting notes and records
- Managing and updating the club website and online information
- Assisting with member communications and announcements
- Supporting administrative tasks for the Board
